Purpose of Role:
The Handyman is responsible to ensure that all instructed maintenance tasks are performed to the highest quality and satisfaction of guests and management

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Matric certificate
• 3 years’ experience in Hotel Maintenance/Engineering in a 5* hotel
• Ability to work without supervision
• Good electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, tiling and mechanical skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Have the ability to handle a pressurised environment
• Must be able to work shifts and weekends
• Team and goal orientated
• Valid driver’s license

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Maintain a high standard of discipline and adherence to company procedures and required safety standards
• Take responsibility for all maintenance tasks required of the incumbent in the hotel
• Will need to do electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry, tiling and mechanical tasks as required
• Report any problems that cannot be fixed in-house
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is in place and correct
• Perform any other adhoc tasks as required by the relevant manager
