HR Manager | Sabie Sands Reserve | Luxury Lodge Group

We are looking for an experienced HR MANAGER to run the whole HR Operations for luxury lodge group located within Sabie Sands / Kruger Park.

The HR Manager is responsible for leadership of the HR Team, overseeing the daily operation and being the People Business Partner to the company's senior management in strategic decision making.

Key Focus Areas
Human Resources Management
advise and counsel management regarding HR practices, labour legislation and company policies
engage with senior management in strategic decision making as People Business Partner
monitor all company policies and standard operating procedures are implemented and being followed effectively
monitor the implementation of the Performance Management process, providing encouragement and alignment as required
weekly meetings with HR Generalist / HR administrations under your management
actively participate in the recruitment of all employees, monitoring that the policy is being followed
lead the new employee induction process with regular review of material and processes for efficiencies and relevance
provide accurate monthly management reports and monitor payroll submissions and reports
be available to assist with stuff queries, complaints, guidance and manage any conflict resolution processes as required
monitor the correct application of the company Code of Conduct at all levels, offering consultation and regular training
monitor the company's legal compliance to Health and Safety
actively participate as property lead for the company’s training and employment equity committee
actively contribute to the annual budgetary process and monitor HR expenditure monthly, saving wherever viable
identify, report and resolve potential HR risks
represent HR in disciplinary hearings and the company at the CCMA
be the company’s brand ambassador in all your dealings, living the company’s purpose and values
Leadership, Coaching and Team Support
Provide a positive, supportive environment for HR Generalist / HR Administration team to continuously learn
facilitate regular meetings with the HR team, providing guidance and coaching opportunities
actively participate at HR conferences
drive a philosophy of employee development and justifiable succession planning
proactively contribute towards team meetings, strategic decisions and lead any restructuring meetings
maintain good neutral relations with colleagues and maintain support with the surrounding communities
strive for effective, transparent and accurate communication throughout the company
Requirements, Qualifications and Skills
Grade 12 / NQF 4 - essential
degree or diploma in HR Management, Honors Degree / Post Graduate qualification is essential
minimum 6 years of practicing HR Management with additional 2 years at senior HR Management level
sound knowledge and practical application of South Africa labor legislation and CCMA a representation at Arbitration level
excellent grasp of the English language and communication skills
MS Office suite proficient
payroll management experience
a quick innovative thinker with great people skills, diplomacy and able to remain focused but professional
own reliable form of transport and a valid driver’s license
Start date: May 2020
Salary package:
negotiable, depending on experience and skills
live in
complete 3 weeks on with one week off OR 6 weeks on with 2 weeks of working cycle leave periods
