Purpose of the job: To enable the Company to meet it’s short to long-term skills requirements through the provision of organizational and individual needs-based learning and development interventions.

The Job
The Key performance areas of the Learning & Development Specialist are:
• Participate in the development of the Company Learning and Development strategy and assume full responsibility for implementation;
• Together with the HR Executive establish and manage a sustainable training function
• Identify training needs within the divisions and develop suitable training capability to deliver on these needs.
• Prepare and Submit Annual WSP and ATR
• Design, develop and facilitate induction programme
• Design, procure, deliver and evaluate all learning and development interventions in line with the Company learning and development strategy
• Negotiate contracts with training providers including desired learning outcomes, fees, expenses
• Report on all training interventions and monthly costs
• Monitor, evaluate and record training activities or programme effectiveness
• Assist in the furtherance of quality improvement objectives throughout the Company through training interventions
• Assist HR Executive in the implementation of succession planning and performance management within divisions
• Manage all learning programmes including Bursaries, Apprenticeships, Internships, Learnerships, etc
• Manage compliance to Skills Development & B-BBEE legislation
• Keep up to date with developments in area of expertise by reading current journals, books, or magazine articles
• To provide support with regards to new projects and technology;

Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in HR or related qualification
• Registered SDF
• At least 5 years’ experience in Learning & Development in a Manufacturing
Additional 3 years experience in being HR Business Partner of HR Generalist
• Experience and Understanding of the BEE Legislation/Codes
• Understanding of entire Learning and Development cycle
• Experience in Designing and Presenting learning materials
• Registered Assessor and Moderator will be an added advantage
