Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to oversee various functions and departments within the group and report through to the owners of the business. It is essential that you can operate and think strategically, can motivate and manage staff on various job levels throughout the business, ensure the smooth running of the business in general and ensure that budgets and stock standards are in place and adhered to.
Finance:
Budgets and forecasts
Project expense control
Ensure debtors and creditors are up to date and managed correctly (prioritise creditors)
Oversee & able to interpret month end statements, bank recons, management reports etc.
Compose and implement annual operational budget
Stock management
Human Resources:
Recruitment and onboarding of new employees
Training and development
Disciplinary processes and hearings
Policies and procedure – implement, update and maintain
Performance processes, annual increase and bonus schedules
Handling all staff related queries and matters.
It is extremely important to the owners that staff is motivated, positive and feel secure and understood. The Operations Manager plays a critical role in terms of HR responsibility
Marketing:
Ensure marketing plans are in place, propose to management and clients as and when needed.
Make recommendation in terms of brand awareness, business improvement and sales
Liaise with clients to ensure complaints and compliments are handled swiftly and ensure overall customer satisfaction
General:
Ad hoc administrative tasks and duties
Be hands on in ensuring the smooth running of the business but also have the ability to delegate as needed.
Lead the team with grace, responsibility, professional positive energy and reliability

Qualifications:

A tertiary qualification, preferably a degree in Business Administration or similar
At least 5 years management experience
Must be able to manage finance, human resources and operations in general simultaneously.
Have an aptitude and grasp for legal processes
Solid computer and IT skills (MS Office, Social Media platforms etc)
