RESTAURANT MANAGER (Rosebank, Jhb)

Our client, a modern mid-century inspired all-day eatery and wine bar, nestled in the heart of Rosebank’s foodie district, is seeking to employ a Restaurant Manager to take charge of the daily front of house restaurant operations.
The ideal individual has experience in an international, high-end F&B environment, exceptional operational and management skills, and a personality that loves people and guests. Positive happy attitude, energetic, well-groomed and wanting to be part of a successful international hospitality brand. Sober habits, exceptional work ethic, eloquent and articulate with a mature mindset. We are looking for a world Class Service Professional with a stable track record.

Minimum Requirements:

• A Hospitality Qualification will be highly advantageous
• Grade 12
• Minimum of 3 years‘ previous restaurant management experience in an international, high-end restaurant environment
• Ability to effectively lead and manage a team of over 100 staff
• Experience in continued staff development
• Strong operational and administrative skills
• Excellent interpersonal- and communication skills
• Highly guest and service centric with a hands-on approach to service
• Own reliable transport and valid driver's licence
• Flexible and adaptable to change
• Computer literate
• High energy and presentable

Key Accountabilities:

• Ensure the smooth running of the daily restaurant Front of House operations
• Being actively on the floor during service, ensuring the smooth running of service operations, offering world-class food and beverage service
• Representing the brand at all times
• Staff management, training and development, disciplining, coaching
• Manage compliance with safety, hygiene and cleaning cycles and regulations
• Restaurant administrative duties including cash up, daily guest correspondence, orders, inventory control, and reporting - to name but a few

Remuneration: R30 000 – R40 000 pm
