This well-known EUROPEAN CONFECTIONERY HOUSE opens its 3rd largest production outlet in Southern African and require an ARTISAN Baker to take on immediate responsibilities at this trendy new EURO restaurant, bakery and Patisserie where the "love for bread" is "the key" to our work culture!

More about the job:
Candidates must be able to demonstrate at cook off point, the ability to produce a range of SPECIALIST ARTISAN baked items FROM SCRATCH - no premix bakers PLEASE!
Items expected at cook off include laminated and enriched doughs, sour dough, 65% and 100% rye, 7 traditional (classical) European baked breads, crushed wheat, health and polenta baked breads as well as 2 specialised (1 wheat free and 1 gluten free) breads.
Formal CULINARY qualifications form the basis for the right skill and knowledge, attitude and disciplines in this highly specialised field.

Requirements:
Minimum 2 or 3 year recognized professional/classical/formal culinary qualification
Bakery Snr Chef de Partie level experience – Minimum 4 years industry work experience within Artisan Bakery Environment.(NOT PRODUCTION PRE-MIX FACTORIES)
Culinary strengths in a range of Specialised Pastry and Artisan Baking ONLY.
Must be adaptable to working with small or larger bakery team as the business grows.
Effective communication skills and proficient in English & outgoing personality.
Must be able to manage a team and show leadership abilities to motivate others.
Must be comfortable to create and develop new artisan breads and pastry items when needed using INNOVATIVE ideas
Must demonstrate good planning skills, be well organized and work efficiently and hygienically

Additional:
Basic Salary offered R11 000 – R12 000 pending skill level and experience as well as overtime hours paid.
