We are currently looking for a SOUS CHEF to join this well-known hospitality group with luxury Lodges located all over Southern Africa. They have recently opened a new lodge set against the backdrop of the magnificent Waterberg Mountains in the Limpopo Province and seek the expertise of a Sous Chef to join the team.

Duties and Responsibilities

Overall preparation, cooking and presentation of all food
Purchasing, checking of goods and packing of all relevant storage facilities
Creating new dishes and menus
High standard of hygiene
Food costing and keeping wastage to a minimum
Monitoring and controlling stock levels
Creating work rosters
Estimating costs and ensuring all purchases come within budget
Well-spoken and presentable
Innovative and creative to drive hospitality at the Lodge to new levels
Relationship building with staff, guests the community and industry
Excellent communication skills
Must be able to work under pressure and in remote areas
Attention to detail
Be guest-centric, ensuring great experiences
As ideal candidate you will have:

Matric
Certificate/Diploma in culinary arts
At least 2 – 3 years of previous experience in similar role/environment
Valid RSA ID
Valid driver’s licence
Candidates must be able to travel for interviews – no telephonic/skype interviews
Salary Package

R9 500, negotiable but in reason
Single accommodation
Provident fund offered at 13% of gross portion
Duty Meals
Starting Date: ASAP
