Our EAL Waiter/Waitress is serving in shifts, lunch and dinner in a friendly and efficient manner. You work as part of a team and are aware of departmental objectives. You ensure that the place is in accordance with the required standards. Other accountabilities are ensuring the restaurant, lounge and storage areas are kept clean, hygienic and tidy at all times following departmental cleaning schedules.

For this job we are looking for an enthusiastic and friendly colleague. The successful candidate has affinity with the hospitality industry, is a team player, helpful and friendly.

Responsibilities

Greeting customers
Present menu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g. about the shared-dining concept, ingredients or potential food allergies)
Prepare tables by setting up silverware and glasses
Offer menu recommendations upon request
Up-sell additional products when appropriate
Communicate order details to the kitchen team
Serve food and drink orders
Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems to your manager
Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining area
Deliver checks and collect bill payments
Positive attitude and aim to provide great communication skills

Requirements

You are located in Pretoria (or nearby)
