Area Manager Job available with famous fashion retailer in Johannesburg. We are looking for someone with above average level of expertise in dealing with both the general public and store teams; a proven commitment to customer service excellence, superb interpersonal and organisational skills, a definite aptitude for visual and marketing strategies, excellent time management skills, superior Microsoft office skills, an ability to work independently with little or no supervision and a solid aptitude for interpreting and reacting to retail market trends in a timely fashion.

The Area Manager will be working under the direct leadership of the Brand General Manager. This position is responsible for maximizing sales and profitability while ensuring the effective operation of all stores in an area determined by geographical location, demonstrating a strong and professional leadership role. While maintaining a strong focus on store procedures, this individual must be well versed in all areas of people development, customer service, sales training, visual direction, cost management and administration functions. This position is a major motivational source for all stores and teams.

Requirements:
- Matric and a degree or diploma in Retail or Business Management
- Computer skills: Word, Excel and Outlook
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in a Senior Management role in the fashion retail industry
- 5 years’ experience as an Area Manager in the retail fashion industry
- 5 years’ experience in Business Reporting
- 5 years’ experience in Performance / IR Management
- Visual and Marketing experience
- Must have excellent administration skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and verbal
- Good report writing skills
- Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas
- High level of organisational skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Excellent leadership skills

Salary R25,000 – R30,000 CTC
