Associate Researcher Monitoring and Evaluation

SM Healthcare Placements is inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of NGO Associate Researcher Monitoring and Evaluation based in Johannesburg CBD for an exciting role within an International NGO in the health care field.

Education, Training and Experience

• Bachelor of Science Honours degree (or equivalent).
• Excellent quantitative skills.
• Minimum 2 years working experience, ideally in a quantitative research environment.
• Demonstrated experience with data management and reporting.
• Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Experience working with Department of Health data systems, including .
• Pro-active and able to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
• Organized and pays attention to detail.

Key performance areas

• Liaise with M&E to verify, quality assure and troubleshoot project data.
• Manage the implementation dashboards, including monthly data entry, quality control and dissemination.
• Co-ordinate the data reporting from internal team activities not reported via M&E.
• Support district teams in interpreting the implementation dashboards.
• Support district teams with data requirements as requested, including the setup and updating of monthly
• Quality Improvement Project dashboards and cascades
• Prepare data for presentations, reports and analyses as requested.
• Support the development of data management/monitoring and evaluation plans.
• Support the analysis of programmatic data for the project.
• Develop meeting agendas, take minutes and ensure follow-up of action items as required
• Monitor and manage the AIP SharePoint site, including storage of data and all other relevant documents
• (trouble-shoot, co-ordinate with IT and ensure current/updated information)
• Assist with writing project reports for internal and external dissemination, grant proposals, research
• proposals, and other documentation as required
• Support development of projects tools such as SOP’s, informed consents, participant/beneficiary information material, technical guidelines, best practice documents, and other documentation as required
• Support with training the project team on project tools.
