National chain store group requires a Bakery Supervisor for various stores in and around Durban, including Newcastle and PMB, to manage the overall functioning of the bakery. This includes production, adherence to recipes, staff supervision and compliance with quality, food and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities:
Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction to company standards
Ensure production of products in line with specified recipes and output levels
Ordering, receiving, storing and issuing food items as per company standards
Monitoring shrinkage and ensure kept to a minimum
Managing and controlling all personnel in unit
Ensure staff adhere to Food and Safety requirements
Provide necessary training to staff
Initiate disciplinary action where necessary
Draw up and ensure compliance to staff schedules
Requirements
Minimum grade 12 / matric
Minimum two years’ experience in a retail environment
Knowledge of bakery procedures and products
Sound understanding of Food & safety requirements
Previous supervisory experience
Able to work independently and under pressure, retail working hours apply
Ability to communicate in English both written and verbal
Maintain a high level of customer service and satisfaction to company standards
