JOB SUMMARY STATEMENT: The main purpose of this position is to provide functional business support for the implemented SAP HCM modules ensuring that business requirements are addressed within the context of a HR/Payroll Shared Services Centre. This role will also be responsible for the design and development of specifications and processes for the HR/Payroll Shared Services Centre.


KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS (DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES)

System Developments
• Develop and maintain the SAP HCM modules based on business requirements within HR/Payroll Shared Services.
• Design and map business transactions, procedures and workflows for services rendered within the HR/Payroll Shared Services.
• Develop end-user training documents.
• Manages all support requests sent through to the external support service provider with respect to the provision of functional specifications, system testing and sign-off and preparation of the necessary change control documentation required for change control approval.
• Complete all the required system testing for continuous improvement.
• Be the lead with respect to system integration within HR/Payroll Shared Services.
• Identify potential solutions for existing business processes.

Reporting
• Compile reports for HR/Payroll Shared Services as per requirements provided.
• Assist with all HRIS reporting.
• Undertake monthly checks for data integrity.
• Ensure accurate reporting within HR/Payroll Shared Services.

Business Operations
• Provide system and process expertise to HR/Payroll Shared Services team, in respect of the SAP users, the Operating Groups and IT department.
• Take the lead with the implementation of system business requirements.
• Prepare and facilitate workshops to address new business requirements that will impact the SAP system and business processes.
• Take ownership of support and change requests as approved by the change control Board.
• Assist with data integrity processes between the HR/Payroll Shared Services and Operating Groups.
• Ensure consistent, timeous and quality service delivery in respect of software systems within HR/Payroll Shared Services Centre, in liaison with the IT department.
• Develop good relationships with stakeholders from the Operating Groups, the HR/Payroll Shared Services team and external service providers.
• Form part of the SAP HCM Change Control Board.

ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• A relevant 3 year Business Management university degree or equivalent
• SAP certification will be an added advantage

EXPERIENCE:
• At least 5 years experience, performing a similar function
• Involvement in at least one SAP implementation project
• Excel skills essential
