Position: Buyer – Port Elizabeth

Requirements:
• Grade 12
• National Diploma in Purchasing / Logistics
• Sound knowledge of a fully integrated IT System: BAAN / SYSPRO (Including MPS/MRP/CRP Processes)
• A working knowledge of IATF16949 Quality Management System
• Computer Literate
• 5 Years/ experience in a purchasing environment – Manufacturing

Responsibilities:
• Source and implement cost savings
• Purchasing project management and follow up including cost saving projects
• Generate purchase requisitions and orders
• Follow up on back orders
• Monitor supplier delivery performance
• General purchasing activities (I.E.: sourcing and quoting)
• Invoice reconciliations
• Maintain suppliers’ contracts
• Inventory control
• Raw material planning
