BUYER - Contract 3 months

Our client based in the Vaal Triangle needs a person for a 3 month contract
Candidate must be residing in the Vaal

Contract Duration: 3 Months

Requirements:
• Matric
• Diploma in Purchasing / Logistics
• Minimum 1 year working experience in procurement
• SYSPRO / SAP experience is advantageous

Job description:
Assist procurement department on sourcing raw materials, equipment and services
Gather information on material availability; determine reliability of suppliers, their products and services.
Expedite deliveries where necessary
Initiate and recommend the most cost effective and suitable purchasing arrangements for materials and services
Evaluate, monitor and report on supplier performance by recording and measuring incoming material quality, on-time delivery and service levels
Arrange meetings with supplier representative to resolve problems and build quality working relationships with approved suppliers.
Maintain effective communication within department and with other functional groups within the company and relevant supplier personnel
Handle all administrative responsibilities related to the job including the monitoring and closing of open orders as required.
Ensure that completed supporting documents are available for new and existing vendors
