Buyer – JHB

Requirements:

Degree/Diploma in Fashion
3-4 years experience as a Buyer
An entrepreneurial, creative merchant style of thinking with strong business acumen
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Excellent communication and organizing skills

Duties:

Obtain merchandise feedback from customers
Liaising with shop personnel to ensure product/collection supply meets demands
Writing reports and sales forecasts
Analysing sales figures
Liaising with other departments
Plan and select the range, type of quantity of products according to customer demand
Source new and review exciting merchandise to ensure product remains competitive
Keep up to date with market trends and reacting to changes in demand
Analyse consumer buying patterns
Managing plans for stock levels, reacting to change in demand and logistics
Meeting suppliers and negotiating terms
Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new supplier for future products
