THE JOB: CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Reporting to the Founder and CEO, the COO will lead all internal operations including the following responsibilities:

• Manage and direct company operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources
• Working in partnership with the management team and board of directors, create the strategic five-year plan and implement new processes and approaches to achieve goals
• Plan, develop, and implement strategies for generating resources and/or revenues for the franchisor, franchises and for new franchise development
• Identify and assess new franchise concepts for development and direct implementation strategies for new franchise IP, training programmes and business systems
• Develop, establish, and direct the execution of operating policies to support overall company objectives
• Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against goals and revise objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions
• Oversee all administrative functions, ensuring smooth daily operations.

YOU ARE: A seasoned, strategic and process-minded professional with experience scaling a franchise business, assessing new franchise concepts and developing a performance culture among a group of diverse, talented individuals. You must be a proven leader who is able to help others to deliver measurable, cost-effective results that make our social franchise vision a reality.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must have a minimum of 8+ years of strong operational experience: ideally have worked in a senior management role for 5+ years. Experience of business ownership is a plus.
• Demonstrated success in financial planning and analysis with previous experience overseeing human resources, information technology, and legal.
• Skills should include organisational development, people management, budget and resource development, and strategic planning.
• Excellent people skills, with an ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of the social franchising
• Flexible and able to multi-task; can work within an ambiguous, fast-moving environment, while also driving toward clarity and solutions; demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and guiding investment in people and systems.
• Proven track record of leading organisations through strategy formulation, to operational design, to execution, to results
