Directing, monitoring and evaluating operational performance; Developing and implementing operational strategies, policies, procedures and processes; Ensure that all Scheme operations are aligned to the Scheme’s strategic plan and objectives; Oversee the implementation of operational risk mitigation strategies; Review, monitor, analyse and evaluate the services performed by members of GEMS Service Provider Network (SPN); Employ appropriate business process management tools such as process facilitation, gap analysis, process improvements, ensuring quality management, process implementation, process modelling and documentation; Monitor the operational performance against contracted service level agreements; Participate in various Operational Committees and Forums; Chair the monthly service provider performance meetings; Chair and co-ordinate the annual service provider strategy and planning sessions; Monitor the implementation of new Scheme operational services

Diploma/Degree in Medical/Clinical Sciences; Registered nurse with the South African Nursing Council; Minimum 5 years’ experience in the Healthcare funding/ medical scheme industry or other Health related industries; Be organised and have good time management skills; Be analytical and have the ability to manage priorities
