Commodity Manager (IT / Financial Services)

We are urgently recruiting for a Commodity Manager to Lead and drive the strategic Commodity development within a leading Financial Services company within South Africa

Within this great role you will actively drive commodity strategies, supplier development and management.

Major Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies in line with business objectives
• Managing and developing supplier relationships and also manage internal stakeholder relationships
• Understanding and managing the commercial terms and ensuring compliance to legislation, drive BBBEE strategies
• Driving cost savings and improving productivity within the procurement divisions

The ideal candidate possesses a combination of strong business experience, technical knowledge, and strong interpersonal communication and relationship management skills.

You will meet the following minimum requirements/criteria:
• A relevant Bachelor's degree (technical, financial or commercial) is required
• MCIPS strongly preferred
• A post-graduate business or finance degree or similar would be an added advantage
• Knowledge of data management and systems, including Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle, JDE and SAP R/3 is key
