COMPLIANCE OFFICER (Legal) Pharmaceutical

A multinational Pharmaceutical company based in Randburg has a vacancy for a Compliance Officer.

The purpose of the position is to steer all work required for the establishment and the maintenance of a robust Compliance Program for the company’s operations in South Africa including the following elements: (i) risk assessment, (ii) policy setting, (iii) governance, (iv) training, (v) communication & reporting of non-compliance's, (vi) monitoring & auditing, (vii) disciplinary process and response as well as (viii) correction and prevention actions.
The successful Incumbent will be required to act as business partner for all Businesses and Functions on Compliance related matters.
Acting as a member of the local management team to ensure that local management is provided with adequate oversight and governance on Compliance related matters.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Masters/Bachelor’s degree in Legal, Pharmaceuticals and / or Medicine
• 5 to 10 years’ experience in a global professional or corporate environment preferably in the Pharmaceutical or Healthcare industry
• Has a high level of integrity, transparency and principle of ethics, strong verbal and interpersonal skills, inspiring attitude, active listening, delegating and sharing ability to work independently as well as collaborative.
• Understanding of Pharmaceutical marketing principles, planning- and conflict resolution skills, 'focus and finish attitude'.
• Ability to influence people without authority. Courage and candor to speak up and challenge senior management or even escalate when needed. High emotional intelligence.
• Fluency in English, written and spoken.
