CONTRACT MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT, ROSSLYN, R17 000 ( 11 WEEK CONTRACT) –
• TRADE TESTED FITTER
• 5 YEARS MECHANICAL FITTING AND ELECTRICAL EXPERIENCE
• GOOD WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF PNEUMATICS
• EXP ON CONICAL TWIN SCREW EXTRUDERS AND ALL AXILLARY EQUIPMENT
• WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF HIGH SPEED MIXERS, GRANULATORS AND PULVERIZES
• VALID DRIVERS LICENCE AND A MUSTH HAVE “OWN CAR”
Provide assistance to the production staff and perform mechanical, electrical and pneumatics tasks in the plant. As well as continuing providing preventative maintance on all plant equipment.
First line maintenance:
1. To maintain all machinery in good order and to follow the work order “task” instructions as a minimum requirement.
2. To note on the works order what problems have been solved
Planned maintenance:
1. To liaise with the production team (team leaders/production supervisors/managers) on current situations with breakdowns or maintenance problems.
2. To do planned maintenance work as instructed by the charge hand/supervisor
3. Reactive maintenance
4. To attend to all plant equipment breakdowns.
Preventative maintance:
1. To ensure critical part stock levels are maintained
2. Record keeping of all breakdowns on machinery
3. Establish a preferred and alternative supplier base on an electrical and mechanical parts.
