*Relevant Tertiary Education; 5+ years’ experience, extensive knowledge of dairy products with a proven track record of managing a Factory; refrigeration, electrical/mechanical knowledge; knowledge of Safety legislation; computer literate (Microsoft Office).*
Description: A dairy factory requires a Factory Manager to join their team. Key duties includes but is not limited to: take full responsibility of the entire Factory Operation (Administration, Stock, Reporting and Staff); ensure that the factory operates within the parameters of local and national legislation; ensure that performance indicators such as Machine Utilisation and Labour allocation are optimized and downtime
and machine changeovers are minimized; ensure the profitability and long term sustainability of the factory through management, accountability, innovation and the implementation of cost savings and improving efficiencies and recommendations where necessary; develop and implement necessary internal control measures, policies and procedures for the optimum function of the Factory and ensuring consistent and premium quality products are manufactured at all times; scrutinize and analyze all current product ranges and identify and develop new SKUs within the capabilities of the business and make recommendations to the Managing Director.
Key Requirements: Relevant Tertiary Education (preference will be given to degreed applicants); 5+ years’ experience, extensive knowledge of dairy products with a proven track record of managing a Factory; refrigeration, electrical/mechanical knowledge; knowledge of Safety legislation;
computer literate (Microsoft Office).
Additional Requirements: Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Excellent administration and management skills. Attention to detail and accuracy. People’s person. Ability to recognise opportunities to simplify processes and create efficiencies. Target driven.
Remuneration: Package is negotiable based on formal qualification and experience.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
