Depot Manager
Manufacturing
A leader in the field of returnable packaging and logistics, requires a Depot Manager responsible for the management of their Depot.
Pro-active management of depot as an operational entity including daily activities, as well as maintaining KPI parameters
Promote professional service of depot to customers
Prepare and maintain annual depot budgets
Report monthly on depot expenses, Key Performance Indicators, Staff and Service
Management, motivation, mentoring and team building of depot personnel
Responsible for depot security, OHS act requirements, cleanliness and safety
Management of customer on-site depots where applicable
Ensures conformance to discipline, rules, regulations, systems and procedures
Management and completion of attendance registers, timesheets, overtime and leave forms
Management of companies assets – Containers, operation equipment, office furniture, computers etc.
Management of stock. Stock locations/area, stock counts, availability, discrepancies, housekeeping and condition of stock
Completion of internal depot audits as published depot procedure manual
Gr.12, a diploma in Logistics with a minimum of 3 years working experience in Manufacturing environment in a Managerial/Supervisory capacity.
High literacy level. Good command of the ‘English language (verbal and written).
Experience in stock control, task scheduling and staff management.
Highly proficient in Microsoft office products – Outlook, Word and Excel.
Report writing and documentation skills to compile manuals, map processes and compile operating instructions.
CTC
