BEE vacancy reporting to Sales Director.

Purpose of the position:
To support the Group CEO by building the strategic accounts division (Telco Service Providers) and establishing a footprint into SA government and Governments in Africa. Managing the achievement of all sales and marketing targets and relationship management activities for defined areas within the Company.

Knowledge & Experience :

? Extensive experience in the IT Industry
? Thorough understanding of the IT Distribution Channel and it’s players
? A well rounded knowledge of vendors and the value their technologies provide.
? Knowledge and experience of Distribution channel business development programs
? A thorough understanding of the sales cycle particularly of large solution sales
? Proven Track record of success in managing a sales business unit
? SADC experience an advantage

Qualifications:
? University degree is essential
? Post graduate Business Management degree/diploma advantageous

Measures of Success/Metrics :
? Significant growth in revenue and profit
? Expansion of the vendor portfolio
? Quarterly objectives as agreed with line management
? Market share
? Creating a stable work environment for team
? Effectively leading and developing the team

Primary Job Responsibilities:
? To provide sales solutions within acceptable risk levels
? To increase the profitability of the Company by sourcing new clients and business opportunities (both nationally and internationally) whilst ensuring that the existing business is maintained.
? Own and drive the SP and Government Strategy for the specific region
? Own and drive the SP and Government revenue and profit number for the region
? Engage with existing vendors to further develop the Group’s presence within the industry.
? Negotiate additional targeted vendors enhancing our portfolio and resulting in incremental revenue and optimal profit.
? Grow market share as measured by revenue and market opportunity
? Provide thought leadership for the relevant SP & Government teams and their customers
? Develop a strong footprint in SA government and in governments across Africa
