o Must be able to work from working drawings.
o Manufacture of new tooling to drawings supplied.
o Proficient in the use of modern toolmaking equipment.
o Repairs/maintain existing tooling.
o Design/manufacture of practical jigs and fixtures.
o Practice synchronous manufacturing at all times in order to eliminate unnecessary waste and reduce inefficiencies.
o Attend to breakdowns whenever necessary.
o Follow a preventative maintenance system with regard to tooling and maintain paperwork in order.
o Be prepared to work shifts, depending on company requirements
. o Be prepared to be a standby, depending on company requirements.
o Adhere to company safety policy.
o Adhere to company rules and regulations
. o Be prepared to work overtime.
o Maintain good housekeeping in own department and wherever working o Interface with Plant Management as well as with senior OE Customers.
o Ensure all Projects within the company are completed within both time and cost parameters
o Knowledge and experience in using the PEP methodology will be advantageous
o Knowledge and experience in Plastic tooling and engineering will be advantageous
o Be prepared to travel locally and overseas
o Prepare tooling RFQ
o Tool design reviews and feed back to tool maker
o Selection of tool steel and standard components for tooling
o Checking Fixtures Concept review with Quality department
o Manufacturing Checking fixtures and Third party Validation
o Tool manufacturing follow up with tool makers
o Ensure meeting customer tooling time lines custome
