ES TEST LAB TECHNICIAN – EAST LONDON

Minimum requirements:
• NQF level 3 – 4
• Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience in a lab would be advantageous\knowledge of quality systems
• MS Word, Excel & Access advantageous
• Experience in measuring
• Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
• Ability to understand test specifications
• Test laboratory experience would be an advantage

Duties:
• SPC / Capability studies
• Calibration of testing equipment
• Stopping any suspect welding process
• Stopping the manufacturing process of a component when a failure is detected during testing
• Reporting any failures to management
• Responsible for the calibration of instruments
• Completion of maintenance check sheet before start of the shift daily
• Report leaking pumps and tanks to maintenance immediately
• Ensure all chemical and physical parameters in the plant are met at all times
