VACANCY: GENERAL MANAGER EXPORTS – WELLNESS & SPORTS NUTRITION
REPORTS TO: MD OF THE WELLNESS DIVISION / MD SPORTS NUTRITION
DIRECT REPORTS: +/- 3 DIRECT REPORT

ROLE OBJECTIVE
• Lead growth by exporting product and setting up consumer centric marketing activities in order to create sustainable markets and business`
• Deliver the Financial results comprising of sales and EBITDA targets as set by group management, and ensure expense budgets are effectively managed.
• Coordination and implementation of all international marketing and sales plan strategies aimed at achieving sales and profit objectives of the organisation. All plans must be aligned with the divisional plans. These strategies include 'market entry' strategies that will contribute towards the growth of the organisation internationally.
• Understanding the changing circumstances of the international markets in terms of regulatory requirements, competitive activity, customer needs and wants in order to direct resources of the organisation.
• Developing an expertise and understanding of the international business to ensure better direction of strategies of divisions and underlying businesses.

TASK DESCRIPTION

• Financial Management – ensure that sound financial management practices adhered to, reported and take necessary actions to maximise financial performance through the P&L.
• Prioritize markets to enter, portfolios/brands to enter with and assess, recruit and contract with the best distributors for our portfolios
• Deliver market/consumer centric pricing models in order to deliver maximum margin and profit
• Finalize Annual Business Plans with all distributors
• Ensure that all ABP`s are measured and reviewed quarterly with all distribution partners
• Drive all intercompany export dealings and opportunities
• Lead a cross functional team and drive good values and behaviours across the business with all key stakeholders
• Deliver overall annual business plans for both Wellness and Sports Nutrition
• Ensure that all markets have a 18 month rolling forecast in place
• Drive a balance between strategizing and executing
• Monitor results achieved through these activities and directing response to any changes to plans in order to deliver maximum profit delivery
• Ensure that all markets are visited as per contact strategy
• Keep abreast of competitive landscape, and direct the organisation's strategies to its advantage.
• Regulatory - ensure that regulatory capabilities in support of the business are in place, and a long-range regulatory plan is developed, maintained and executed to support existing and new business objectives.
• Administration – ensure that Go-to Market and Market Entry SOP`s are up to date and that all the necessary approvals have been obtained before products are shipped to new markets or distributors
• Measurement and Achievement – have adequate reporting and measurement tools in place to ensure that all key metrics are tracked and reported to aid achievement.
• Communicate results - Prepare and present annual, quarterly, monthly plans and results to both MD`s

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

• Diploma in Business Management/Marketing and or
• Bachelor degree in business, economics or commerce

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE

• Strong energy level
• At least 5 years’ experience in a Senior Leadership role.
• Strong leadership Skills
• Excellent stakeholder management
• Industry experience in Branded Consumer Healthcare
• Previous experience in successful multinational, with responsibility for multiple international markets
• Full P&L management
• Willing to travel
• Good balance between strategy and execution
