Minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Operational Finance Management Role in
a similar business environment (Manufacturing and Trading, imports and exports,
Syspro/Sequel ERP systems).
Significant experience in management and control over a business revenue
Proven experience in pro-actively managing cash-flow, cash generation inventory
and working capital to within target ranges.
Proven experience in managing BBBEE programs and certification processes.
Proven direct experience in budget preparation, setting, monitoring and forecasting.
Proven experience in managing multi-location inventory.
Proven experience in all aspects of income tax.
Proven experience in preparing of annual financial statements according to IFRS
and good accounting practices.
Experience in liaising with auditors, business advisors, board members and
bankers.
Good working knowledge of account software systems.
Knowledge of management systems for all accounting functions.
Main Job tasks and responsibilities:
• Plan and prepare financial reports and board packs, including financial plans, budgets and forecasts.
• Cash flow forecasting and management.
• Accurate and timely preparation of management accounts to enable reporting to the board and other management.
• Attend and report at board meetings.
• To be fully conversant with sound accounting practices and handle all statutory and legislative financial related requirements and in line with the overall duties of this post.
• Develop and implement formal accounting and financial operating procedures and policies.
• Manage the finance team/function in accordance with generally accepted sound accounting
• Liaison with auditors, business advisers, the group and bankers.
• Manage all company assets in accordance with group policies and procedures.
• Group policy and procedure compliance.
• Promote and adhere to the companies culture and values.
• Responsible are not limited to the above but includes all aspects relating to operational financial management.
