We have a Contract position for a qualified Fitter/Boilermaker that we need to fill
Salary will be R14 500.00 plus R2 900.00 performance Bonus, which is paid as per Company rules & regulations.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Be able to fault find and maintain mechanical equipment in the Fixed Plant in order to reduce downtime. To ensure that equipment
is in sound condition to enable Production to work according to plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
1. Maintenance: Apply planned maintenance procedures as per set standards, minimizing machine down time.
2. Interdepartmental Liaison: Regularly inform Manager of tasks carried out.
3. Liaison with Suppliers: On specific maintenance problems and spares.
4. Housekeeping: Must make sure that the working area is left clean and scrap parts are removed and disposed.
5. Safety: Maintenance tools to be used in such a manner so as not to endanger the safety of yourself and other Employees.
6. Quality: Be able to meet the required quality standards.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must have a recognized apprenticeship as a Fitter & Turner or have served a recognized apprenticeship as a Fitter with good mechanical knowledge.
2. Must have a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in (i.e.: conveyor belts, crusher’s double shaft mixer, various pups etc.)
3. Be able to work under pressure.
4. Good interpersonal relationship skills.
5. Must be available to work shifts when required and be prepared to be on standby for call-outs during the night or weekends
