Location: Epping, Western Cape

Description: A food production company requires a Food Technologist to join their team. The key duties will include but is not limited to: diligently complete all related administrative functions; drive the Quality and Food Safety systems; maintain the Occupational Health and Safety program; organize and lead the staff Training and Development plan; Uphold standards of housekeeping in all areas. The successful candidate will be required to do basic in-house laboratory microbiology testing, hygiene monitoring and oversee the pest control system.
Key Requirements: Diploma or Higher in Food Science/Food Technology; at least 3 years’ experience with exposure to food production; Quality Control and Microbiology experience in a laboratory environment is required. HACCP training will be an advantage. Valid driver’s licence required. Candidate must be willing to work with meat products.
Additional Requirements: Good communication skills, team-player, attention to detail and diligent. Candidate must be willing to work every second Saturday and overtime when necessary.
