Our client an International Kids Fashion Brand Label who has established a global brand are entering into the South African market They are searching for highly experienced General Manager GM who will be for multiple kids brands These are exclusive kids brands

The ideal incumbent will be required to carve out a new Division from start up to finish set up control a new brand locally in all regions Experience with kids products and brands will be an advantage

This person will report to the Director and be part of a hardworking team The Company requires a General Manager GM who has exceptional insight into the kids fashion market coupled with strong business management skills The Brand will be targeting the kids departments as well as young and trendy fashion groups The Brand includes clothing and accessories

Duties and Key Performance Areas
Operational Delivery
Lead and co ordinate the operations planning and teams to deliver a best in class retail environment which creates a unique and compelling customer experience
Ongoing commitment & focus to deliver excellent customer service in stores
Constant assessment and improvement in collaboration with the ops manager of the retail capabilities in the store based retail teams
Effective management of stock loss
Monitor and track the retail OPEX Constantly assess & maximise operational efficiencies
Procurement Supply Chain and Inventory Management
Process & System audits to ensure best practices
Develop in collaboration with marketing team a retail marketing / promotional calendar to deliver retail KPI&rsquos
Monitor in store based incentive programme to drive revenue at store level

Operational & Market Visits
Weekly operational visits to stores
Weekly market / competitive visits

Relationship Management
Leading managing and motivating teams to achieve targets
Implement successful performance mangement and succession processes for HO and store based retail teams
Build and maintain cross functional internal relationships in the market and HO to support delivery of retails objectives
Communicate Retail strategy to the wider business

Business Planning & Review
Actively promote and direct a calendar driven process efficient approach to execution of business cycle and strategic plan
Strategic planning Develop long term goals and objectives 3 5 year view that will shape the long term direction of the retail business

Tactical planning Develop a 18 month forward view for retail ie Develop a retail calendar and ensure that the retail team executes against the time lines
Drive post seasonal review of operational delivery & merchandise
Develop and deliver monthly Business Reviews

Budgeting
Formulation tracking and managing retail revenue profit expense budgets

Marketing
Drive retail marketing strategy & in store activations

Minimum Requirements
Diploma/ Degree in Commerce or related qualification
3 5 years Operations Management experience
