International Freight & Logistics Company has an opportunity open for a General Manager for the Western Cape Region. The right person will be a strong communicator that holds a Matric, a business or logistics qualification and has broad management experience in the Clearing & Forwarding, Logistics and Distribution sector.

As the GM you will be required to solidify current relationships, manage a fully functional team with diverse and strong personalities as well as ensure growth and continuity of the company’s regional business activities.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Continuous development of commercial and sales opportunities;
• Regular current and new business interaction;
• Maintaining the current Service Level Agreement standards;
• Set, manage and achieve regional budgets (R.O.I)
• Maintain operational policies and procedures and ensuring operational best practices are applied.
• Best practice use of WMS and other IT systems
• Understand OHS best practices.
• Manage, maintain and train and mentor a sufficiently skilled and experienced team to provide customer satisfaction and excellence.

Core Competencies for this position:
• A good understanding of the Freight Logistics and Warehousing sector in Cape Town and its market.
