The Vacancy exists for the above mentioned position. The successful applicant will be based at HO in JHB and will report to the Financial Director of the Group.

? Group Functions
• Preparation and drafting of Company and Group annual financial statements
• Supervision and management of subsidiary annual financial statements
• Compilation and management of Group half year results
• Completion of Company tax returns
• Management and supervision of Company statutory returns
• Treasury management of the Company and within the Group
• Collation of monthly Group management accounts and preparation of quarterly board reports.
• Liaison with external auditors and management of annual audit
• Liaison with divisional financial staff
? Head Office Functions
• Management and supervision of head office accounting function
• Management and supervision of group fixed assets
• Management and supervision of the budget process
• Maintenance of internal controls
• Ad Hoc financial requirements

Qualifications

• Matriculated, preferably being in possession of a BCom (Honours) degree or CA (SA).
• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in same or similar position.
• High level of computer literacy. CASEWARE experience and be able to consolidate multiple entities
• Proven track record with the ability to work under pressure.

You will play a pivotal role in the financial management at Head Office and will be expected to make a significant contribution to the effective management of the Group. You will be expected to have a working knowledge of Income Tax in South Africa and its neighbours, VAT legislation, Companies Act requirements, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, COID Act, and proficient in International Financial Reporting Standards.
