Job Title: Head of Academy

Brief Posting Description

The main purpose of this position is to lead the development and management of the organisation’s Academy, ensuring strategically aligned learning and development that address both current and future workplace skills needs for the organisation.

Detailed Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

? Leading and managing change over the next 4–5 years, ensuring that the Academy takes on the effective strategic learning and development role required of it by the organisation
? Leading and managing delivery against the organisation’s skills development strategy
? Building, maintaining and developing effective stakeholder relationships both within the organisation and outside of it
? Ensuring continuous improvement of the delivery and functioning of the Academy
? Elevating the status of the Academy with a shift towards business-aligned learning within the organisation, and manage the significant change that will be required – within the Academy and across the organisation
? Building an effective, single Academy team, comprising staff who were previously in two different departments of the organisation

Job Requirements

? Master’s degree OR equivalent; and a
? minimum of 13 to 15 years’ experience in a learning and development environment, with a
solid track record of senior and strategic management experience.

Additional Details
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate the following:

? Strategic management, including change management
? Effective people management
? Knowledge of learning and development frameworks, methodologies and best
practice
? Understanding of the human resource value chain, including talent management
? Understanding of central banking.
