Your key job responsibilities as the Head of Product and Distribution in Johannesburg will include:

- Working with the product teams to create best of breed products and services
- Working with the marketing and data teams to select the most appropriate channels to take to market
- Creating and executing a direct to market sales strategy in order to sell our products and services using a combination of cell centre, online, field marketing, mobile and bot technologies
- Reduce cost per acquisition by using technology and automation
- Build a book of over 100k policies in 24 months
- Find affinity partnerships to plug product and services into
- Ensure the best of breed debit order collection , voip and sales management tools are in place
- Create and operate an insurance structure that best supports the groups interests

Requirements for this Head of Product and Distribution job in Johannesburg:

- Have had at least 5 years’ experience in call centre sales. Being exposed to the sales and operations of a call centre. Important to note this does not refer to the running of a call centre but rather having had exposure and insights as to how a call centre operates in terms of leads, sales and collections
- Have an understanding of the debit order collection process and be able to make recommendations in terms of optimizing collections
- Have a good understanding of digital and database marketing
- Must be able to manage and grow a team
- Have a good sense of products and product partners mainly in the financial services space
- Have a strong understanding of the financials services space in terms of products, call centres, and marketing
- Highly driven individual who is a leader and is able to build a brand and a business underneath him/her
- Be able to work in a fast paced, high pressure, entrepreneurial culture
- Individual will be required to get his/her “hands dirty” and build the business up from the ground up
- Background and understanding of cell captives and comparable insurance structures
- Technologically savvy with a view to do most of the sales using technology and automation in the next 2/3 years (bots, ai, mobi sites, ecommerce)
