Our client is an established Manufacturer of some of South Africa’s most loved and respected furniture brands. An exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self-motivated individual with great administration capabilities to join the team

Job Requirements:
• Grade 12
• Diploma / Certificate in H&S advantageous
• 2 years relevant experience
• Computer literate essential (Ms Office)
• Sense of accuracy and urgency
• Deadline orientated
• Reporting capabilities – written and verbally
• Strong administration skills
• Self-motivated personality
• Must be able to work independently
• Assertive personality that act with integrity and initiative
• Good communication skills to people at all levels – include service providers

Job Description:
• Maintain appointment letters of safety reps and arrange for H&S training
• Conduct Risk-, Safety- and Fire audits
• Arrange for surveys to be done on Hygiene, Forklifts and Hoists
• Arrange quarterly Fire-, Hydrant - and Evacuation Drills
• Take charge of all documents regarding incidents and accidents – COID, CIRC, WCL
• Work closely with Clinic, Doctors and Physios
• Chair and minute H&S meetings
• Attend First aid -, Clinic - and Risk meetings
• Write Safe Working Procedures and update Job specs
• Issue and restock PPE
• Compile monthly report for management meeting
• Maintain accurate and current filing system
