HOD: HUMAN RESOURCES OPERATIONS

We are looking for a seasoned professional who will provide expert direction and oversee the management of all HR operations by consistently providing a speedy, accurate and professional HR service and contributing to the development of the organisation Employee Value Proposition.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

• B- Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources Management
• Post graduate qualification is desirable.

Experience

• A minimum of 10 years experience in a senior HR management role
• Ability to operate at a strategic level and develop departmental operating plans accordingly.
• Must have a good understanding and working knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
• Experience in building and leading successful teams to deliver transactional service excellence.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in preparing and delivering reports up to Board level.

Knowledge
• Solid ER background with a strong working knowledge of labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, EE, SDA, BBBEE, collective agreements); dispute resolution.
• Solid background in Performance Management.
• Has excellent internal consulting skills and has proven diplomatic and influencing skills.
• Has a sound analytical ability and good judgement.
• Solid understanding of continuous improvement principles in a process driven environment.

KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS (Not limited to):
HR Operations Management
• Facilitate a consistent, speedy and accurate delivery of HR services to customers.
• Responsible for core HR operations service delivery.
• Develop and lead a customer focused effort.
• Constantly improve processes and procedures to meet changing technical and customer requirements in a pro-active manner.
• Ability to develop and monitor HR performance metrics for a production - focused environment.
• Implement plans and programs to identify and develop talent within and outside the organisation.
• Coordinate the work of the HR team in the management of employee contracts and ensure compliance with the organisation’s policy and procedures and relevant legislation.
• Establish efficient benchmarked HR processes and ensure high data integrity across all departments.
