We are looking for a skilled HR manager to oversee all aspects of Human Resources practice and processes. You will support business needs and ensure the proper implementation of company strategy and objectives.

The successful candidate will be based in Paarl at the Group’s Head Office. Negotiable in terms of working hours.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Recruitment & Selection
• Driving recruitment process
• Managing relationships with recruitment companies
• Onboarding process and staff support
• Coordinate and conduct the induction/orientation of new staff
• Providing employment contracts
• Updating employment contracts on a regular basis according to changes in the law and/or good practice

HR Admin
• Maintain staff records and database (online and hard copies)
• Maintain job descriptions
• Administration of staff attendance including monitoring of all types of leave
• Leave admin/approvals
• Chairperson at disciplinary hearings
• Training and assisting staff and line managers on disciplinary processes
• Labour relations
• Termination of staff
• Exit interviews

HR Policy and Procedures
• Development and maintenance of HR policies and procedures
• Update HR policies according to changes in labour law and/or good practice
• Management of the Group’s BBBEE targets
• Development and maintenance of various organisational charts
• Maintaining and updating job descriptions

Training & Development
• Organising training according to staff and company needs
• Managing the training budget
• Maintaining good relationships with training providers

Company Communication
• Compensation and benefits communication
o Pension / Medical Aid / Retirement Annuity etc.
• Change Management
• HR policy and procedures communication

REQUIREMENTS:
• HR Qualification / Degree
• 5 year relevant HR experience
• Computer literate
• Knowledge and experience in SA labour legislation
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Good administration skills
• Pro-active, forward thinker who enjoys working independently
• Good time management and organised work ethic
• Approachable, good listener and patient
• A good judge of character
• Ability to represent the Human Resource function as part of the bigger business picture
• This position will involve, as required, travel within South Africa.

SALARY
Negotiable depending on experience.
