In-Store Sales Specialist

Location: Atholl Square, JHB
Salary: Basic of R22kpm plus benefits (Medical Aid, Pension, Laptop, Cell Phone, iPad)

Purpose of the Role:
As an In-Store Specialist, your key role will be to elevate the brand and product presence at the point of sale within your allocated region. You will drive customer value and brand equity by developing and implementing impactful and effective in-store solutions that grow brand awareness and increase sales.

Requirements:
Grade 12, preferably a Diploma in Marketing
Minimum of 2 – 4 years operating in retail sector
Driver’s Licence and Own Transport
Strong understanding of POS and POP drivers, and the design/creative process.
Good knowledge of local retail market.
Budget management experience.
Negotiation skills, Results-oriented
Ability to make commercial decisions.
Resolution of problems, analytical capacity
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple marketing activities in a fast-paced environment.
Confidence in developing relationships with internal stakeholders of the business and suppliers.

Duties:
Responsible for the presentation and execution of product, brand stories and brand expression in store whilst ensuring compliance with global merchandising guidelines and standards.
Act as point of reference for sales team and customer’s needs in terms of in store branding and merchandising.
Visit an assigned portfolio of customers, ensuring optimal brand coverage in store whilst building a relationship of trust with customers.
Formulate regional merchandising strategies (including negotiation of space, store layouts, visual merchandising, etc.) to grow brand presence.
POS Coordination: from planning, briefing, design, procurement, printing, delivery in market.
Updating master data list of store’s visual merchandising, ensuring accuracy.
Sourcing of innovative solutions, new suppliers.
Management of regional trade marketing budget.
Coordination of corporate sales events.
Implement training programs to improve organizational competencies in visual/product merchandising to continuously drive high standards of presentation.
Forecasting, allocation and implementation of Permanent Displays, Branding and Promotional Material (in-store and window) verifying its quality and correct positioning and functioning over time.
Travel required from time to time to KZN and Coastal
