Industrial / Employee Relations Manager (EE)
A successful specialist Consumer Goods company seeks a skilled, dynamic and commercially astute strategic IR/ER Specialist/Manager
You will have very strong IR and ER experience, as well as a solid understanding of the HR generalist roles and functions.
You will need to meet the following requirements:
• At least 5 years relevant experience in senior IR/ER management roles within Manufacturing, Consumer Good and/or Retail
• At least 4-5 years of working in a unionised manufacturing / retail environment
• Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Law or Labour Relations
• Excellent communication and written skills
• CCMA representation at arbitration level
• The ability to understand and speak African languages
Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
• Being the specialist on disciplinary / grievance procedures for the manufacturing sites across Gauteng Pro-actively identifying areas of potential conflict
• Representing the company at CCMA and brief attorneys to assist with labour court disputes
• Actively participating in the drafting of constitutions with a view to positively influence the constitution and company as a whole
• Managing the relationships between management and employees
• Recommending initiatives to improve relationships between management and employees
