An exciting and new opportunity has become available for a BUYER in LADIES CASUALWEAR at a fashion retailer in Durban.

The ideal candidate will be dynamic and have an attitude of rolling up their sleeves and working hard as this is a fast-paced environment – a true trader and passionate about fashion retail particularly ladieswear.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Development and procurement of Ladies Casualwear e.g. Jeans, Dresses, T’s
Range building and selection
Build relationships with existing and new suppliers
Relevant product knowledge with regards to styling and construction of garments

Qualifications & Experience:

Grade 12 / Matric
Relevant tertiary education in Fashion, Textile Design, Clothing Production, Product Development, Merchandising or a related field
3 – 5 years’ proven retail experience in the procurement of Ladieswear
Previous experience in a clothing and/or manufacturing environment is an advantage
An understanding & knowledge of the retail cycle and merchandise buying principles & processes
A working knowledge of the latest Microsoft Packages
Experience in design would be beneficial
