JUNIOR QUALITY CONTROL TECHNICIAN

The successful candidate must have the following:

• Tertiary Quality certification an advantage
• Matric certificate
• Technical background with ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Ability to use a variety of measuring equipment
• Sound administrative , planning and organisational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience in technical investigations, fault finding and technical report writing. Reports that will be sent to both local and international suppliers
• Very good numerical and conceptual skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail essential
• Computer literate
• Ability to take clear instruction and ability to work under pressure and without supervision

Key duties are but are not limited to:

• Assist the Quality Manager in the improvement of the current ISO 9001:2008 Quality management system, Internal Audits and corrective & preventive action
• Calibration of measuring equipment according to ISO 9001 procedures
• Assisting QC Inspectors with In-process and Final inspection of components with the required ISO9001 test documentation.
• Raise non- conformance reports and ensure quality standards are maintained on all equipment
• Ensure order documents and test records are maintained accurately and are up to date
• Inspection of imported equipment on a sampling basis, as well as all other equipment delivered from local suppliers

Salary: R8 000 – R10 000
