LEATHER CUTTING SUPERVISOR

Permanent, full time position
Starting date: ASAP
Location: Pretoria, Gauteng
Salary: R10 500
Benefits: Retirement benefit of 7.5% of basic as a cash payment, 50% co-payment for medical aid contributions, discretionary bonus (13th cheque). 18 days’ annual leave.

Qualification: Std 10 (Matric) – advantageous, tertiary qualification would be advantageous.
At least 2-3 years’ experience in an automotive environment preferably leather cutting.
Knowledge of Quality principles and Industrial Engineering principles.
Knowledge of Environmental principles, supervision and TS 16949.
Computer literacy would be advantageous.
Plan and prepare for daily production as per job cards and planning schedules.
Control people, equipment, material and resources in order to get optimum output on product and satisfy customer requirements.
Adhere to quality procedures as per the quality manual.
Ensure daily volumes and yield targets are achieved.
Comply with work instructions.
Ensure that customer quality standards are met via daily feedback.
Work according to quality management systems (ISO 9001 & ISO TS 16949)
Ensure that the correct leather and cutting knives are allocated to the tables.
Develop and Control the performance and actions of subordinates
Adhere to Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
Must have leadership ability, a self-starter with good communication skills.
