An established Manufacturing Company in Stikland are looking to employ a Loomtuner.

Requirements:
• Grade 11 or equivalent to a tertiary qualification
• Minimum 3 years production experience, preferably gained in a textile/manufacturing or any related industrial/technical environment.
• Above average mechanical skills on Dornier Looms
• Above average numeric skills
• Good verbal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure without supervision
• Ability to collect, analyse, organize and critically evaluate information
• Ability to prioritise work and follow a preventive maintenance schedule
• Ability to meet deadlines and ensure that looms are available as planned
• Ability to maintain accuracy and improve condition of assets
• Be able to supervise subordinates and maintain discipline
• Goal orientated and self-motivated
• Must be able to work shifts
• Good H&S and Housekeeping sense

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for the running of all machinery to minimize down time as a result of machine breakdowns
• Keep machines in good running condition and to be able to optimize efficiency and utilization of machinery
• Ensure people are trained on how to operate all the machines in the department safely and to minimize down time due to improper
operation of equipment and to fulfil the functions that is required of them (Complete training form).
• Keep Manager informed at all times of the status of looms and ensure control of stock (Dornier parts)
• Ensure that all safety regulations of the company and machinery are adhered to
• Ensure Housekeeping is at its best at all times
