Requirements:
Electrical trade test with a minimum N4 qualification
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment
Automotive industry experience advantageous
Use of the following equipment in fault-finding techniques: PLC and SCADA systems, CNCs and robotics and navigation knowledge and techniques in terms of computers and networking
AC and DC motor control and feedback

Responsibilities:
Ensure that breakdown maintenance takes place with minimum downtime
Carry out planned maintenance in accordance with the laid out schedule
Ensure machine safety and continuity on shift
Conduct process problem solving to determine cause of production problems
Conduct utility and services inspections
Ensure that regular inspection and maintenance of emergency equipment and tools are conducted
Ensure that the relevant engineering records are maintained
Management of contractors, vendors and suppliers after hours
Comply with all aspects of the OHS Act
