UniRec is urgently looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their client based in Drakensberg. Salary is highly negotiable depending on qualifications and experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must have matric
• 5 years Hotel Maintenance experience essential in a same or similar position – supervisory/management skills required
• Matric and Trade experience required
• Electrical skills, plumbing skills Mechanical skills
• Must be able to speak, understand and write English

Responsibilities:

• To ensure that Maintenance is dealt with in a cost effective manner, adhering to the Company’s profit margin policies.
• To ensure that the property, fixtures and fittings, machinery and equipment are in a good state of repair at all times.
• To ensure that a high standard of cleanliness is maintained.
• To ensure that efficient, quick and friendly service is provided to the guest.
• To ensure that all minimum requirements of the municipal authorities are being adhered to.
• To ensure that the requirements of the occupational health and safety act are being adhered to.
• To take Maintenance and operating equipment stock according to the Company Policy.
• To act upon shortages immediately, as and when they occur.
• To comply with internal audit procedures.
• To ensure that all goods purchased have a written requisition and order number given to supplier.
• To comply with employment procedures.
• To assist in training and /or train Maintenance employees to Company standards.
• To attend such training courses as may be arranged from time to time.
• To adhere to the Hotel’s disciplinary and grievance procedures and to attend and/or chair such procedures as and when requested.
• To promote and maintain sound industrial relations.
• To manage the department when the Maintenance Manager is not here.
• Must be able to diagnose problems with and repair the following: Major Appliance, Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical, Carpentry, Pool Care, Gutters and any other Hotel Maintenance.
• Assist Maintenance Manager on any day to day Maintenance issues as required.
• Doing Standby as required.
• Action Property and Room care Preventative Maintenance

Remuneration:
