MANAGER: TECHNICAL AND MARKET ACCESS

The Manager: Technical and Market Access reports to the CEO and will function as an integral part of the management team. The incumbent will contribute significantly to planning, strategy and achieving operational goals.

Key responsibilities include: ?
- project management of all aspects related to technical requirements for implementation of the Table Grape Industry Strategy ?
- stakeholder management ?
- convene and chair Table Grape Technical Forum ?
- ensure delivery of market access protocols for all prioritised markets ?
- liaise with SA government structures regarding product specifications and market access ?
- represent the SA Table Grape Industry at all Market Access (Plant Health / Food Safety) Committee Meetings ?
- conduct workshops with producers and export agents
- facilitation of market compliance ?
- compiling annual budget for portfolio
- representing the Table Grape Industry at international meetings from time to time.

The ideal candidate complies with the following specifications: ?
- relevant BSc degree (agricultural economics / viticulture / horticulture as a major)
- 5 years work experience (2 years in Management) ?
- experience in market access regarding agricultural products (advantageous) ?
- technical knowledge of the fruit industry (advantageous) ?
- excellent communicator, team player and presenter with public speaking skills ?
- above average negotiation and interpersonal skills ?
- initiative and innovative ?
- ability to provide valuable input w.r.t. strategic decisions.
