Yara Animal Nutrition South Africa, as a subsidiary of Yara, that sells high quality Phosphate products suitable for both ruminants and monogastric animals on modern, high producing farms.The KZN site includes a raw materials processing plant and sales office in Umbogintwini near Durban, as well as distribution depots across South Africa.

At the Durban plant we find around 200 Yara employees , highly focused on improving their safety culture and looking to raise profit and improve production up times plant and equipment maintenance.

The MD position is the most senior role at this plant and we require the following profile:

Experienced Production, HESQ or Engineering background with proven track record and results
Commercial mindset and experience in change management
Experienced leader with documented leadership skills
Ability to motivate and lead in turbulent times
Ability to build organisational capabilities, behaviours, structures and processes
Resilience & active listening skills
Cultural sensitivity & understanding

Yara South Africa have been a manufacturer of phosphate products since the 1960's and have always been the preferred phosphate supplier to the South African market - first as Kynoch Feeds and later as KK Animal Nutrition. We became Yara Animal Nutrition South Africa in January 2016. Over the years we have improved our production processes and are now manufacturing a world class MDCP as shown in digestibility trials completed in Europe.
