Position Description: To supervise the manufacturing personnel and activities of the following manufacturing sections: Assembly, Manufacturing and paint shop. Further to ensure that each above mentioned section within the department operates in a productive, on time and efficient manner.

Beneficial if currently studying in one of the following directions - Project management (engineering, mechanical or civil
Any of the following studies: Planning, Quality, Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing
Fully computer literate - MS Office Suite
Problem solving / Strong communication skills / Team Player / Ability to take instructions / Fast learner / Innovative and creative thinker / Excellent time management skills / Loyalty and honesty / Good decision making ability / Code 8 Driver's.

Major Areas of Responsibility include:
Safety / Planning / Leading / Organising / Reporting / Directing

Main Deliverables / KPI's:
Development and maintenance of work packs and word pack register, gathering required documentation required for the work packs and to ensure that work packs reach supervisors on the job planned and start dates of well as follow up on job completion dates.
Coordinate relevant jobs with supply chain, sales and supervisors to ensure fluent flow of work.
Coordinating the quality involvement on jobs to ensure fluent flow of work.
Development of systems/procedures that will assist in the coordination of jobs and relevant business processes and procedures
Resolve immediate documentation issues, job related
Ensure and co-ordinate SHE documented time keeping issues for workshop
Ensure that the machining, welding, fabrication, painting and utilities requirements are effectively and productively delivered
Ensure completion of all assigned special projects / Manage contractual workers, engaged for projects / Supervise materials planning and over all control of issuance and replenishment of spare parts & materials
Ensure safe rules and practices are understood, implemented and followed by employees and contractors
Ensure all records are up-to-date
Ensure implementation of all preventative / corrective / preventative maintenance are followed on Plant Equipment and auxiliaries such as air compressors, blowers, water pumps and other equipment under Utilities
Contributes to the achievement of production, quality, environment, equipment utilization , reliability and overall equipment efficiency (OEE) targets
Completes maintenance related jobs according to the highest standards of safety, efficiency and effectiveness
Participates in Root Cause Analysis meetings for significant and chronic equipment problems to avoid recurrence.
