Our client is in the Manufacturing Engineering Industry and is looking for Materials Manager with at least 5 years experience and accustomed to lean supply chain practices

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 and 3 years relevant Degree or Diploma (NQF6/7)

At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role/position in a manufacturing/engineering environment, preferably accustomed to lean supply chain practices

Knowledge of Material Management processes, Production scheduling systems and MRP is a requirement

SAP, MS-Excel and MS-Word experience is essential.

Job Specification

The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following, stock control by managing the movement of stock both physically and administratively to ensure it reaches the required department on time. He/she will manage the safe storage of stock according to the company’s policy and procedures as well as customer and/or supplier requirements and specifications. The incumbent will review current processes and procedures to ensure compliance and to reduce production lost time. He/she will in collaboration with Production compile the detail scheduling of all processes/workstations. The incumbent will manage all HR related issues (including development and training) for employees according to company policies and procedures.
