Menswear Designer / Co-ordinator - Durban
Looking for an action-oriented, dynamic, business savvy, resilient individual with a flair for sophisticated fashion, who will thrive in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about succeeding.
Minimum Requirements:
• Matric
• Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design
• Minimum 2 – 3 years’ experience at fashion design / co-ordinating
Key Responsibilities
• To be involved from receipt of brief from the customer, prepare costing pack, instruct for the patterns to be made, rating to be done, compile fabric price, trim, artwork prices
• Work hand in hand with the co-ordinator to start the fitting process
• Co-ordinate work for the machinist
• When bulk fabric arrives issue to cutter to cut /send for outwork chase back to machine
• Measure and prepare paperwork to send off fits / seals daily
• Update the system with the status of your styles
